At GTI, we are committed to giving back to our community. We have worked on numerous school projects, helping to build vegetable and fruit gardens for the kids to have hands-on access to the knowledge of where their food comes from. We recently saved seven fruit trees at a local elementary school scheduled for demolition for pending construction. The trees were to be bulldozed and we were asked to help. Pro bono, GTI helped to relocate and save all seven trees. We have also donated time and resources helping to upgrade sports fields and gardens for local at risk schools. We even delivered christmas trees to families of students at Rose Warren Elementary School.
GTI also stepped up when asked to help with the building of the Las Vegas Healing Garden, built just days after the mass shooting killing 58 people on October 1, 2017. GTI donated labor and plant material to the effort to memorialize the lives of those victims and to provide a place for the survivors, the families of the victims and the first responders to gather and heal.
Our Account Managers work with several organizations, including CAI, NVSAA and BOMA, to help with their efforts to give back to the community. We have supported food and water donations for NVSAA, provided and helped to deliver gifs to the children of St. Jude’s Hospital. We even spent a Saturday helping NVSAA in their work to build the annual fundraising corn maze at a local animal sanctuary. As the landscape contractor for the 106 local LDS churches, we have donated labor and materials to support their youth programs – helping their young adults to learn job skills.
